Foreign Currency Exchange Rate Updating by API
Multipub has built an integration with the Oanda.com API’s to get daily updates for the foreign currency exchange rates. This program runs on a nightly basis to retrieve the current exchange rates and update them in the Foreign Currency table in Multipub. These exchange rates will then be used by Multipub until the next update of the exchange rates. When orders are entered and posted in a non-native currency the current exchange rate at that time will be used for the currency conversion – the rate used on a posted order does not change as future exchange rate adjustments happen.
